Telo Islands, Indonesia · 2027

Seven nights. Warm water. Incredible waves. A tiny crew of women. One unforgettable fucking week.

A women’s surf retreat for adventurous women who want world-class waves, barefoot luxury, deep connection and the kind of aliveness you can’t manufacture behind a screen.

I’m interested

The final week will be chosen with the founding Soul Rebel group. Current options are in April + May 2027.

A white sandbar curving off a jungle island into shallow turquoise water
Looking straight down on a coconut palm forest meeting white sand and a turquoise reef

This isn’t the trip you need a vacation from.

This isn’t just a surf trip.

It’s waking up on a tiny Indonesian island with nowhere else you need to be.

Coffee. Bare feet. Checking the waves.

Our own boat waiting to take us wherever the conditions are best that day.

Warm water. Empty lineups. Long lunches. Chef-made food. A massage when your shoulders are cooked. Sunset swims. Ice baths. Music. Ridiculous conversations. Deep sleeps.

A week with women who actually want to LIVE.

No performing. No packed itinerary. No fucking rushing.

Just surfing, playing, receiving, connecting and remembering how good it feels to be completely alive.

Getting there

The adventure starts before we reach the island.

  1. The day before

    Land in Padang

Arrive into Padang, Indonesia the day before our island transfer. The Latitude Zero team will meet you at the airport and help get you to your hotel for the night.

  2. Next morning

    The charter

We’ll be collected and head to the airport together to board our private Susi Air charter into the Telo Islands.

  3. And then

    Into the Telos

And this is where it starts getting ridiculous. We fly out over the Indian Ocean and island chain, land in the Telos, meet the Latitude Zero team and continue by boat to our home for the week.

Get yourself to Padang. We take it from there.

Your Padang hotel the night before isn’t included in the retreat investment. How long it takes from your city

The surf

Serious surf. Zero need to prove anything.

Every day, the conditions decide the plan.

Latitude Zero’s experienced surf guides know the island chain intimately, and our dedicated boat gives us the freedom to go looking for the waves that work for our group that day.

Playful reef breaks. Long walls. Beautiful warm-water sessions. And something with a little more spice when you’re feeling brave.

We’re not coming here to prove how hardcore we are. We’re coming to have the fucking surf trip of our lives.

Soul Rebel is designed for intermediate surfers. Guests should be able to catch their own waves, ride down the line, manage their equipment and be comfortable navigating a reef-break surf environment. Longboarders and shortboarders are both welcome.

What the waves are usually like in each week
A woman on a longboard, arms out, riding a small glassy wave with palms behind
A woman in a rash vest cruising a mellow wave in front of a palm-lined island
A woman in a red swimsuit and hat walking her longboard on a small wave
A woman on a green board racing along a bigger, peeling wave in front of palm trees
A woman wading out with her surfboard to the surf boat anchored off a jungle beach

The house

Your own room. Yes, really.

A bright resort room with a large bed, air conditioning and doors to a balcony
Resort bathroom with a glass shower and a wooden vanity
The two-storey resort building among palm trees, with the pool in front

Every Soul Rebel woman gets her own private, air-conditioned room.

A limited number of rooms have private ensuite bathrooms. Those will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis once deposits open.

Translation: another very good reason not to sit on your YES. 😂

Resort life

Eat. Surf. Rest. Repeat. (Or don’t.)

This week is hosted, but it is not overscheduled.

Surf your face off. Skip a session. Read. Nap. Get a massage. Jump in the ice bath. Take a kayak out. Sit by the water. Stay at dinner too long. Dance. Laugh until your stomach hurts.

The point isn’t to squeeze every possible activity into seven days.

The point is to actually be there for them.

Breakfast of eggs, toast and coffee on a table beside the pool
A guest in a teak ice bath on a deck overlooking the ocean
A guest receiving a massage in the spa

The story

These waters changed my life.

Falyn with the crew at the resort in the Telo Islands, about eight years ago
The Telo Islands, about eight years ago.

Years ago, I came to the Telo Islands alone on a surf trip.

At the time, I was still working aboard superyachts — living this life that looked extraordinary from the outside, but knowing somewhere inside me that another chapter was calling.

I came here.

I surfed these waters.

And something shifted.

I went back to the yacht after the trip…

and quit my fucking job.

That decision eventually took me to Australia, into an entirely different career and through a decade of experiences I couldn’t have seen from the life I was standing in then.

So when the idea of hosting a women’s surf retreat started pulling at me, there was really only one place I wanted the first Soul Rebel to happen.

Here.

Going back to the waters that changed the trajectory of my own life — this time with a group of incredible women beside me — feels like one hell of a full-circle victory lap.

And no, I’m not promising you’ll quit your job after this trip. 😂

But I do know what can happen when you take a woman out of her everyday life, put her in the ocean, surround her with incredible people and give her seven days to feel completely fucking alive again.

Sometimes you come home seeing your life a little differently.

Your host

Meet your host — Falyn

Soul Rebel is not a business mastermind disguised as a surf trip. The transformation comes through the experience itself.

Falyn spent nearly a decade working aboard luxury superyachts, learning what it means to anticipate needs and create an exceptional guest experience. She later spent years in Byron Bay facilitating health and wellness retreats and coaching surfing in Australia.

Soul Rebel brings those worlds together: thoughtful hosting, beautiful details, ocean adventure, wellness, play, freedom and a week designed to make you feel wildly alive.

Who this is for

Soul Rebel is for the woman who…

  • Already surfs and wants an unforgettable warm-water surf adventure
  • Loves beautiful places but doesn’t need everything to feel polished or precious
  • Wants a tiny group rather than a huge retreat crowd
  • Craves connection with women who are adventurous, curious and fully in for life
  • Can challenge herself without turning surfing into a performance
  • Wants to be deeply hosted while still having freedom to follow her own energy
  • Would rather come home with stories than another week she barely remembers

When

The founding group gets a say in when we go.

I’m doing this one a little differently.

Rather than choosing a week and hoping it works for the women I want there, I’m choosing the final date with the founding Soul Rebel group.

  • April 4–11, 2027

The gentlest of the four. Smallest average swell, and not one oversized day on these dates in the record.

  • April 11–18, 2027

The lightest winds of the four, but about one day in five has historically been on the big side.

  • May 16–23, 2027

The most good days of the four, and among the driest. The occasional bigger day, with sheltered spots to go to.

  • May 23–30, 2027

The driest week, as the season turns. Also the biggest average swell of the four.

If Soul Rebel is calling you, tell me which weeks work below. Once our crew emerges, we’ll choose the final week together and deposits will open.

Questions

The practical bits.

What level of surfing is required?

Soul Rebel is designed for intermediate surfers. You should be able to catch your own waves, ride down the line, manage your equipment and feel reasonably comfortable in the ocean around other surfers. You do not need to be a charger. This is not a beginner learn-to-surf retreat.

What kind of waves will we surf?

The Telos offer a wide variety of reef breaks. What we surf will depend on swell, wind, tide and the group. Our guides and dedicated boat give us the ability to choose the best-fit options each day — from playful waves and long walls to more challenging sessions when conditions and confidence align.

Do I need to bring my own board?

You can bring your own board, but you don’t have to. Latitude Zero has an extensive surfboard quiver available to guests. If you have a board you absolutely love and surf best on, bringing it may still be worth it; the resort quiver also makes it fun to try different shapes.

How do we get there?

Arrive in Padang, Indonesia the day before our island transfer. The Latitude Zero team will meet you at the airport and assist with your transfer to your Padang hotel. The following morning we’ll be collected and head to the airport together for the charter flight into the Telo Islands, followed by the final transfer to the resort. Your flight to Padang and Padang hotel are not included.

Will I have my own room?

YES. Every Soul Rebel guest gets her own private room. A limited number have private ensuite bathrooms, which will be allocated first come, first served once deposits open.

Do I have to surf every session?

Nope. This is your week. Surf as much as you want, or skip a session to rest, read, massage, snorkel, SUP, ice bath, hang at the resort or simply do absolutely nothing.

Is this a surf coaching retreat?

No. Soul Rebel is not a technical surf coaching camp. Latitude Zero provides experienced surf guides who help us navigate the breaks and conditions. Falyn is also a former surf coach, but the intention of this retreat is surf, adventure, confidence, connection and fun — not performance pressure.

What does a typical day look like?

There really isn’t one rigid schedule — the ocean gets a vote. Think: wake up, breakfast or breakfast packed for the boat, chase the best waves for the conditions, surf, lunch, maybe surf again, return to the resort, massage/ice bath/pool/rest, sunset, beautiful dinner, music, conversations and whatever the night becomes. Some days we’ll surf a lot. Some days may invite something different.

What is included?

Your private room, resort stay, Padang/island transfer logistics included in Latitude Zero’s package, charter transfer to the Telos, dedicated surf boat and guides, meals and snacks at the resort, resort amenities, board quiver access, surf photography, laundry, one planned Soul Rebel massage, welcome details and Falyn hosting the week.

What is not included?

Flights to and from Padang, your Padang hotel the night before, travel insurance, personal purchases, alcohol unless later confirmed, and optional extras outside the retreat package.

How much is Soul Rebel?

The Founding Soul Rebel investment is US$5,300. Once the final date is confirmed, a US$1,500 deposit secures your room and the remaining US$3,800 is due 75 days before arrival.

When is it?

The final week is being selected with the founding group. Current options are April 4–11, April 11–18, May 16–23 or May 23–30, 2027. Select every week that works for you in the interest form.

What if this feels like a big YES and also a little scary?

Good adventures usually have a little edge to them. You don’t need to force a decision from the website. Send your interest, tell me what you’re wondering about, and if you’re seriously considering Soul Rebel we can have a real conversation before anything is locked in.

Expression of interest

Think you might be a Soul Rebel?

Take the two-minute quiz.

Seven quick questions. This isn’t a payment or commitment yet — just tell me which dates work, a little about your surfing and anything you want to know. If it feels like the right fit, we’ll have a chat before anything gets locked in.

Question 1

1 / 7

First things first — how do you surf?

Honest answers only. There’s no wrong one.

Not a payment. Not a commitment.

You can take another normal vacation.

Or you can come to the Telos.

Seven nights. A tiny crew. Incredible waves. Your own room. A boat waiting. No rushing. No proving. A whole lot of fucking living.

If you can feel yourself in it already, tell me.
